The rainfall from Hurricane Agnes fills the lake almost two months sooner than projected.

North Anna Power Station Unit 1 begins service.

December 14, 1980
North Anna Power Station Unit  2 begins operation.

Lake Anna State Park opens with over 15 miles of trails, a beach on the lake and
fishing pond.
