Angel Hough has been on the lake her whole life. Born and raised in Spotsylvania, Hough has always had a strong affection for Lake Anna, with its peaceful, small-town atmosphere and its beautiful tree-lined shores.
“Lake Anna is the perfect country setting,” says Hough. “You get all the luxuries of a rural area—lots of space, escape from the hustle and bustle of the city—but you’re still just a short car ride away from places like Richmond, Fredericksburg and Charlottesville.”
After working as a real estate assistant in high school, Hough began her career as a real estate agent. That’s how she met her husband Doug Hough, a fellow agent whose family built their home at Lake Anna in 1980.
The Houghs started their joint real estate venture in 1993. They owned their company for 11 years before joining Long and Foster.
With nearly three decades of real estate experience and a lifetime spent on the lake, the Houghs have helped countless clients find their dream Lake Anna property. Whether a client is looking to buy, sell, develop land or purchase commercial real estate, the Houghs have the expertise to see them through.
“We love meeting new people and helping them find exactly what they’re looking for,” says Angel Hough. “I grew up here, we’ve raised our kids here. It’s just a wonderful place to call home.”
