Lake Anna is located 72 miles south of Washington, D.C., is approximately 17 miles long, and covers 13,000 acres. The lake is easily accessible from Fredericksburg, Richmond and Charlottesville, and is one of the fastest growing destinations for homes and vacation destinations.
The lake is divided into two sides: the public side (cold water side) and the private side (hot water side). The cold side is over twice as large as the hot side. While the cooler water temperatures of the public side make summer lake activities more enjoyable, the warmer temperatures of the private side extend the season into early spring and late fall.
